We just played a match that was better than the recent ones.
And I think we should applaud for one another.

Because we managed to stay encouraged and not frustrated up to the last minute!
I'm seriously very proud of this.
Because screaming at another person on court really makes that person feel...
Really out and down.
So I'm sorry if I've ever done that to you.
Anyway, it just pulls down our overall performance.

Can we try and keep this up?
Remember to commend a person for good things and remind and encourage more often!
We're a team!
And can we do the high-morale, noisy thing during WHOOSH, and team talk?
It really helps the team, I think.

Anyway, we were talking about the vision thing that the thrower has to have.
But I thought of something and forgot to mention it during team talk.
You know, when the seniors played, they sort of helped each other out.
Like a person who has overrun or is behind the defender or something, she will point to another person who's free.
I think that's really good, because we aren't houseflies, we are humans.
So it's quite hard to get a vision of 360 degrees.
Instead of putting the responsibility on one person, we could split it up.
Does that help?
As in the signaling?
Maybe we can try it out and help take the stress of vision off the thrower.

jia, ama, yihui and i were having the MOST AMUSINGEST(: conversation ever!!! and ama suggested that for our next outing we should go to (drumrolls...) ESCAPE. since i said that we are the screamiest netball team in all the secondary schools in singapore(: what do you guys think. anytime we are ALL free(:

so yah. the conversation. we went on like with eveyrone talking about something different. hehe. so funny. i'm so sorry. but i find it very very amusing (:

i have concluded, after studying about netballers for a year, that all netballers are lame. at least c div raffles netballers '07 are. (: you guys so completely rock!!! oh man i really can't imagine if i didn't get into netball (:

okay. you are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to REGULARLY UPDATE your NETBALL JOURNAL starting NOW!

so here's the statistics for Fairfield match:
- Jia Ming and Ivalyn: 75% shooting percentage
- 17 interceptions (!) from the pathetic 4 in st margs game
- 11 deflects (!)

we need to manage our impulsivity and don't break!
we need to have more body control so that we don't contact!
we need to be more situationally aware so that we don't obstruct!
we need to make use of the chemistry we have between each other and work on our accuracy so that we don't miss pass!
we need to be more alert and ready so that we don't miss catch/replay/repossess!
we need to land on the correct foot so that we don't step!

so here's what we did at training, 3rd March:

1) the fitness station!
- 10 passes 45degrees side shuttle with push off
- 10 chest passes, pitterpatter
- 10 highest point
- 10 reflexes
- sprinting

think about how super tired you were and how to compromise with your team mates accordingly. and while you were throwing or catching or jumping, think about the problems you had and how to improve on it

2) friendly with seniors

we weren't very focussed cos ms chng wasn't really observing us. so just think about your mistakes and visualize yourself doing the correct thing, apparently it works. oh and i notice julia likes to cross her legs while she land xD so dancerr lah juliaaa! and izzah's shots today were coool right? haha.

3) 10min run

we needa improve on our mindset. cos we were complaining a lot for this. and do you think having distractions like talking/talking jokes/tickling/etc good while you do fitness stuff? cos it diverts your attention from how tired you are feeling? or should we just concentrate and focus and finishing it well? i want feedback!

that was training i guess. i still feel the burn in my legs but whateverr. if you have muscle aches and whateverr, stretch okaay? and do you know that muscle aches are a sign that your muscles are getting stronger((x

hello everyone.

just some things to tell you.

the seniors' finals would be this monday, 5th March. we needa go support and go for the prize presentation. please note, for you bozos out there, this is not considered a support activity event cause it's our own CCA xD. their game is at 3pm so there's no need to leave class early. we'll be going there the same time as the supporters and there'll be a charted bus. please be dressed appropriately and look proffesional, that means your pinafore must be nicenice. the place is toa payoh sports hall by the way. oh and remind me to bring the school flags((:

for this coming week - week 10, term 1 - we only have training on thursday. and for the Learning Journey Week, if our LJ activity clash with training, you should try to change ur LJ activity date. if nationals start the week after school holidays - term 1 week 1 (LJ week) - we diedie must go for match. so ya. i'll get back to you on this after Mr Thio tells me the details. holiday trainings are on tuesday, thursday and saturday. afternoon, 3pm to 6pm for tuesday and thursday and morning, 8am to 11am for saturday. all will be at Kallang Netball Centre. if you can't make it tell me please.

and we're running every tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday. so stop smsing me to ask lah. please be punctual ok. and if it rains, we run in school. so still must meet at the walkway there k.

hey all. this blog is dying so i have kindly taken the trouble and iniciative to revive it.=P oh and i don't think natalie and eunice visit this blog. naughty them. so for people who do visit this blog,~~like me~~ please post anything random if you're bored or tag!!

ok. yesterday's match wasn't all that wonderful. we all know what we have to work on, so err.. work on it! LOL

haha. julia got all "funny-looking" when ms chng said that THESE MAY BE THE POSITIONS YA'LL WILL BE PLAYING NEXT YEAR when julia was wearing the centre bib. LOL.

the score was 24 - 18. we weren't thrashed or anythg but we could have won. but we still achieved our goal which was to score 4 in each quarter so NO CHELSEA!!

speaking of chelsea, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to write your netball journals ok. if not two rounds chelsea which is horrible.. please use rgs exercise book size. doesn't have to be rgs exercise book lah. so long as it's the same size can liao. if i'm not wrong, we're suppose to write our goals for joining raffles netball, our weaknesses and how we can improve. yeap. so please do it!! i don wanna run 2 rounds chelsea..

oh and ruici owes us 1 round chelsea for PONNING training the other time. =P

oh and please suggest any food ya'll want for the next national league match. it must be less than $6 so do the math before telling us. oh and it must be healthy and nutritious if not ms tan would disapprove and buy something shitty.

Err.. Ms Tan just told me that the Monday's game against St. Margs. is cancelled because she has a camp to attend to in the morning. It will be changed to the afternoon 2pm. We will be playing against Cedar Girls Secondary instead. So we will have to meet at Cedar Girl's netball courts at 2pm. Anyone who have problems going please sms me. We might have to do it like how we did when we went to Yusof Ishak Secondary. We might have to meet at Potong Pasir MRT station then those who have cars have to go and fetch them.
